根據判決，涉及「喬丹」商標的註冊，損害麥可．喬丹對「喬丹」享有的在先姓名權，違反商標法規定，應予撤銷。同時認定，拼音商標「QIAODAN」及「qiaodan」未損害喬丹姓名權。至此，這件持續4年之久的商標權纏訟終於落幕。

纏訟4年後，美國NBA球星「飛人」麥可．喬丹，與大陸喬丹體育雙方對「喬丹」商標的訴訟，終於由美方勝訴。昨（8）日，中國最高人民法院判定，喬丹體育註冊「喬丹」商標，是侵犯麥可．喬丹的姓名權，應予註銷。有中國商界人士調侃說：「玩山寨，目標千萬別太大！」
21世紀經濟報導指出，備受關注的美國籃球明星麥可．喬丹，與中國擬上市公司喬丹體育之間，有關「喬丹」商標的訴訟案件，12月8日由中國最高人民法院公開宣判。

據指出，喬丹體育在1984年成立，原名叫「福建省晉江陳埭溪邊日用品二廠」，在2000年更名為喬丹體育。10多年間，喬丹體育先後註冊一系列與喬丹個人身份密切相關的商標，包括60多件拼音、漢字組成的姓名商標，以及40多件形象商標。
